A central part of being a Rotarian is developing and maintaining friendships with other Rotarians. The Rotary Club of Dublin Central has an active and vibrant social aspect to its activities. By getting to know one another better, we can work more effectively in contributing to our community or working together on a Rotary project or initiative.
In Rotary, we call it “Fellowship”, that part of being a Rotarian which is all about enjoying the friendship of others. Whether than constitutes an evening at the theatre, our annual BBQ, a family day out, a formal ball, or just enjoying some “craic”, we are always the better for it. In particular, we enjoy the company, education and entertainment of some really good guest speakers at our weekly meetings.
There are also many formal Rotary Fellowships which are autonomous, international groups of Rotarians, Rotarian spouses, and Rotaractors who join together to:
- Share a common interest in worthwhile recreational activities (sports, hobbies, etc.)
- Further their vocational development through acquaintance with others of the same profession
- Make new friends around the world
- Explore new opportunities for service
- Have fun and enhance their Rotary experience
Whatever your interest, there are other Rotarians who share it!
